How consultation & training services unfold

First, an assessment will be made during the initial telephone contact to determine if the problem you're having with your dog and cat is likely to be resolvable. A firm prognosis will not be given, however. Information about prognosis and treatment procedures can only be made with consultation in the office of Dr. Polsky. There is no charge for telephone assessment to determine whether it makes sense to proceed with the services provided by Dr. Polsky.

Second, if you would like to proceed to utilize the services of Dr. Polsky, you will be instructed to examine the fee schedule posted on this website. There are various options, such where the initial session takes place, where subsequent sessions take place, the number of sessions, and the length of telephone support follow-up after the final consultation. The option chosen depend on your budget, how much involvement you want on the part of Dr. Polsky, and the nature of the problem.

Regardless of the option chosen, all training and behavior modification takes place in your home. For most problems this approach is best: Your pet stays in the home environment, cost is reduced, and you the owner will serve as the agent of change. Dr. Polsky will instruct you and your family in the proper application of behavior modification procedures. Finally in all cases follow-up telephone consultation support provided, but the duration of telephone support subsequent to the final consultation depends on the option chosen.
